The cargo bed would likely be sized to accommodate various outdoor gear and equipment, making it perfect for camping trips, hauling supplies, or tackling weekend projects.
- Technologically Advanced: Subaru prioritizes driver assistance and safety features. The pickup could be equipped with the latest EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology suite, including features like Pre-Collision Braking System, Lane Departure Warning, and Adaptive Cruise Control.

My Subaru dealer in Burlington NC said the Subaru Baja is just a rumor. Is this true?
Yes, only a RUMOR.
This woman wants a mini truck with style. But I need a payload that gets the job done, to
The Brat was a hit even tho the bed was small. Your preliminary design looks good. Add comforts of a car and you’ll have another hit.
I had a 1979 Subaru BRAT and love it !!! I buy from Subaru in Fall River,Mass. Brand new I been waiting 45 yrs. for Brat to come back out !!!
I would like to see and test drive this truck.. Called several dealers they had no idea what I was talking about. I would love any information you could share with me
This blog post is a hypothetical situation IF… Subaru was ever to release a Truck again.
There are already so many mid size trucks. What doesn’t exist (now) is a small truck with AWD or 4×4. Tacoma’s own the mid size market (and 1/3rd of Subaru…). Make a smaller ute to compete with the Santa Cruz. My Baja is over 300,000 km now… get on with it!!! (And make it turbo).
How do I fund the new brat
My family has purchased nine Subaru over the last few years, I’m the hold out driving a Ford F-150. We would be a total Subaru family if they came out with a Pickup. Double up the 2.8 engine and get it done.
If Subaru would produce the Baja again, I would buy, otherwise I will look at other manufacturers.
I want one!
Just a bigger Brat! When??
I want one of these so bad I literally would sell all my land for one. Isn’t their some kind of program where you can promote this vehicle drive it around to advertise and get a free one??!! That would literally be a dream come true. This is my all time dream vehicle I have always wanted one my whole life.
My daughter has driven a Subaru Accent for years. And highly recommends Subaru. I asked her if Subaru made a pickup truck and she said she didn’t think so.
I would really like to know if Subaru is thinking of manufacturing a pickup truck and if so when could I expect to see one?
I would like to buy this truck TOMORROW
When will the 2026 Brat hit showrooms? Or auto car shows?
